MINDFULNESS IN DAILY LIFE
4-week Foundation Course
July 3rd, 10th, 17th and 24th 2018 from 7-9pm
September 18th, 25th, October 2nd and 9th 2018 from 7-9pm
Mindfulness is a simple tool for being present.
It helps us create a more harmonious relationship with the mind, cultivate self-acceptance and connect with ourselves and others in a deeper, more authentic way.
Through paying close attention to our thoughts, feelings and emotions as they arise, moment by moment, with an attitude of curiosity and non-judgemental acceptance, we learn to befriend our experience rather than struggle against it. Being attentive to the present moment and dropping our resistance to whatever arises in our inner landscape are the keys to experiencing peace now.
This 4-week course aims to give you an in-depth personal experience of mindfulness and a solid foundation on which to build an ongoing practice.
The course is suitable for complete beginners or for those with an existing meditation practice who wish to deepen their experience.
You will learn the three core mindfulness meditation practices – sitting practice, body scan and mindful movement – as well as shorter practices for being present throughout the day and exercises for cultivating compassion and self-acceptance.
The course fee of £75 includes:
• 8 hours of instruction in a small group
• comprehensive course manual
• audio recordings of the guided meditations we cover
• ongoing support and guidance by phone or email
Richard is an accredited mindfulness trainer with The UK Mindfulness Association and is also a spiritual life coach and author of two books "Kick The Thinking Habit" and “Awaken The Happy You.”
